Basic introduction
YAG laser welding is to use high-energy pulsed laser to weld the workpiece. It uses a pulsed xenon lamp as a pump source and ND: YAG as a laser working substance. The laser power supply first pre-ignites the pulsed xenon lamp, and discharges the pulsed xenon lamp through the laser power supply, so that the xenon lamp generates light waves of a certain frequency and pulse width. After passing through the resonator, a pulsed laser with a wavelength of 1064 nm is generated. The laser is beam-expanded, reflected (or transmitted through an optical fiber), and radiated to the surface of the workpiece after being focused, so that the workpiece is partially melted and welded. The frequency, pulse width, table moving speed, and moving direction of the pulsed laser required for welding can be controlled by PLC or industrial PC, and the amount of laser energy can be controlled by adjusting the current, laser frequency, and pulse width.
Features
1: High aspect ratio. The weld seam is deep and narrow, and the weld seam is bright and beautiful.
2: Due to the high power density, the melting process is extremely fast, the heat input to the workpiece is very low, the welding speed is fast, the thermal deformation is small, and the heat affected zone is small.
3: High density. During the formation of the weld, the molten pool is continuously stirred, the gas escapes, and a porosity-free penetration weld is formed. The high cooling rate after welding is easy to make the weld microstructure, and the weld strength, toughness and comprehensive performance are high.
4: Strengthen the weld. High temperature heat source and full absorption of non-metallic components produce purification effect, reduce the content of impurities, change the size of inclusions and their distribution in the molten pool, no electrodes or filler wires are required during the welding process, and the melting area is less polluted, making welding The joint strength and toughness are equivalent to or even exceed those of the parent metal.
5: Precise control. Because the focused spot is small, the welding seam can be positioned with high precision, the beam is easy to transmit and control, and the welding torch and nozzle do not need to be replaced frequently, which significantly reduces the auxiliary time of downtime, and the production efficiency is high. Light has no inertia, and can also stop and restart at high speed. Complex components can be welded with self-controlled beam shifting technology.
6: Non-contact, atmospheric environment welding. Because the energy comes from the laser, there is no physical contact between the workpieces, so no force is applied to the workpieces. Neither magnetism nor air affects the laser.
7: Due to the low average heat input and high machining accuracy, reprocessing costs can be reduced. At the same time, the operating cost of laser welding is low, which can reduce the cost of workpieces.
